success!
so, the sideburns trick paid off!
as of 5th January, it'll be goodbye to the company car and Crows Nest restaurants; from the 22nd it'll be hello train travel & the expensive city. the suit will remain, unfortunately...
i'm actually not too fussed about train travel (blame it on 6 years at Grammar and 4 years at sydney uni), plus i'll get to read the paper a lot more. plus, heaps of people i know work in the city, which means much lunchtime catch-ups.
that's the first bit of good news.

dave matthews. in sydney. next year. tickets secured this week. not as big as U2 in front of mr. massive screen, but better music (sorry if this offends!).
that's the second bit.
australia go 2-0 up in ashes series, led by a tasmanian gambler.

that's right, the ashes are on their way home! shame for the SCG trust, though, as the series could well be over before christmas. still, 5-0 whitewash sure is mighty tempting and attractive for the sydney public!
that's the third bit.
hope all your week's have been as brilliant as today's midday sun!
